Astrid Andresen has built a remarkably broad career spanning musical theatre, opera, classical singing, pop, gospel, Schlager, cruise entertainment, and concert performance. She is a professionally trained mezzo-soprano whose profile lists professional-level abilities in classical, musical, pop/rock, and Schlager vocals, demonstrating unusual stylistic versatility. Throughout more than two decades she has performed as both a soloist and ensemble singer while simultaneously working as an actress in musicals, operas, concerts and theatrical productions. Her career also includes extensive live entertainment on major cruise ships, where performers are expected to maintain demanding vocal schedules across diverse repertoire.
Her professional experience reflects continuous engagement at respected theatres and production companies throughout Germany. Since 2011 she has been a member of the chorus of the Hessisches Staatstheater Wiesbaden, performing in major operatic productions including Turandot and Simon Boccanegra. She has also performed with the Kammeroper Köln in Hänsel und Gretel, appeared in numerous musical productions for Großstadt Entertainment, sung in professional gospel productions, and served as featured vocalist aboard the cruise ships MS Deutschland, MS Astor, MS Delphin, and MS Hamburg.
